The first kiss Yoochun really counts is only remembered through the haze of alcohol, but he thinks he likes it better that way.

He and Jaejoong sneak out to a nearby bar the night before their debut performance. Both want to forget the what ifs floating around them in a haze.

Yoochun learns that Jaejoong is the affectionate sort of drunk, all smiles and laughter and clinging all over, the (transparent, Yoochun thinks later, if you know how to look) cold front that he puts up completely absent.

Suddenly Jaejoong is there and his lips are so warm, and oh, fuck, this is not supposed to make him react like this.

"I-" He has to look away, because he can't be thinking about this.

Jaejoong looks up at him expectantly from his blanket cocoon, face hardly visibly as he holds the coffee under his nose, taking in the steam it gives off. "Hmm?"

"I… I- feel better soon, okay?" I think I love you.

They're together again, not drinking this time.

Yoochun thinks, I'm lonely—do you know that? You make me like this. When I’m with someone else, I only wish it were you. It's not fair. Do you really not know?

Instead he says, "Do you know that I love you? I… fuck it all, I love you." He doesn't care about hiding it anymore.

It takes Yoochun almost half an hour to bring a brush and paints to Jaejoong's room. He falls, then stands up again. He drops one of his crutches, then picks it up again. He uses his left shoulder to open the door and literally throws himself into the room.

“This one.” Yoochun nods at the biggest wall facing Jaejoong's bed. He then starts to dip the big brush into boxes of color paints. Jaejoong's hair is blond, so Yoochun makes a yellow curve, in the shape of a rainbow. He mixes pink and orange to make the color of Jaejoong's lips, drawing something that looks like two third of a full moon. Green is placed below the pink, and in the area where these two join each other there is a beautiful color that hasn't been named yet. Yoochun paints blue at the very top, the highest he can reach without falling on his crutches.


“Pretty colors.”

Yoochun's right hand, which is holding a brush covered by blue paint, stops. Everything inside him is about to stop as he turns around.

“Are you a painter?” Kim Jaejoong smiles, tilting his head.

His eyes are black. Now that he has opened them, he looks even more like a ghost, a very beautiful one.

<<"Does this mean I'm gay?" He breathes, dazed at the sudden sharp turn his life has taken. "Not necessarily," Jaejoong replies, licking those delicious fucking lips of his. "We can just say you're Jae-sexual.">>
