[Trans] What’s In Interview – Jejung & Yuchun

On the last day of the Tokyo Dome Concert, together with 50, 000 fans and with a warm atmosphere, they sang together.
This is the best JPOP song that was composed for the fans who have always been supporting them. What kind of feelings does this song bring? The feelings that they want to express, “Thank you, forever, thank you.”, can you feel it?

[They wanted to make a song that the fans will remember once they heard it on the concert, to be able to hum along, and a melody that is easy to understand]

- During the solo sections in the Tokyo Dome Concert in July, the song that both of you sang, “Colors~Melody And Harmony~” will be released as a single on the 30th of September right?
JJ: During Tokyo Dome (Sings the song) I was too nervous, and everything was a blank in my brain.
YC: I was not that nervous, I think it’s because I had to play the piano and sing for the song “Begin” later on. (Bitter laugh)

- So what was the strategy you used to compose this song? When was it composed?
YC: In the beginning, when we had to do a solo for Tokyo Dome, everyone went to prepare but later on, unknowingly, we composed together and therefore, there is this song. (Laugh)
JJ: Eh? It’s like that? Wasn’t me who helped Yuchun when he said that he could not come up with any songs? (Laugh)
YC: Ah? Wasn’t me who helped you?

- Who should I believe? (Laugh)
JJ: But we definitely did this together, then can’t be wrong. (Laugh)

- Then how did you guys compose?
YC: Once “This is a song I composed, ha~ (sigh)” is mentioned, I will think of a lot of songs. Previously, Jejung had a self-composed song and it was quite an amazing one. So, I asked him “Lets compose this song together, how does that sound?”
JJ: Talking about this, Yuchun asked me, “This song that Jejung edited is quite good, it’s this song right?” And I answered, “Okay~”
YC: It’s really great that he did not say “No”
JJ: I never said that. (Laugh)
YC: Jejung is too gentle~~

- As the both of you have worked together before, you have some understanding on each other’s composing styles. Has this made it easier to work together this time?
YC: Yes, if this was the first time we worked together, I think we would have used more time.

- Previously, Jejung has edited a song, then what level is it?
JJ: Although I can edit songs, but I am still quite lousy at adding melodies so I decided to use this solo in Tokyo Dome to make a song that the fans in the venue can remember from just one listen, and to have the ability to hum to it and of course, a melody that is easy to understand.
YC: This time, we finished it very quickly. With everything added together, it’s about a week.
JJ: Also, we only spent one to two hours a day on this song.
YC: And it was in the middle of the tour.
JJ: I had secret meetings with Yuchun in the hotels which we stayed at in the tour venues. (Laugh)
YC: For example, I wanted something that is more popular but Jejung wanted something that is more J-POP. In the end, we wanted to make music that only 2 people can make. “If it’s two people, that way is also possible”, “I also want it like that”.We had a lot of ideas and they were all handled with.
JJ: In the hotel, me and Yuchun will sleep under the bed and have our edited music in our hands and say, “Try singing it”. It should be sang by two people but in the end, I was the only one singing. (Laugh). Next, Yuchun also quickly followed up. Maybe it was coincidental but I somehow felt that the feeling of working together isn’t too bad and wanted to try it. Later, we decided to use the A major to sing it together.

- Yuchun, was it coincidental?
YC: Ah, whether it was a coincidence, I can’t remember anymore. (Smile)
JJ: In the beginning, although we wanted to use different languages to add to the melody but because we wanted the venue to sing with us, we minimized the variety and also left a lot of space between each sentence. This way, it would be easier for the fans to sing with us.

- Was it Yuchun’s idea to add the rap?
YC: Because I can do anything. (Laugh) Just joking. (Laugh)
JJ: But I think Yuchun’s rap is very good.
YC: Really?
JJ: Really, really.
YC: Ah, it’s like that~

- The conversation between the two of you is very funny.
JJ: The one who wanted to add the rap was me. “Yuchun, let’s add rap~ Rap~”
YC: I did not reject his request. (Laughs)

- Yuchun’s rap.. is very gentle.
JJ: I also think so. Only Yuchun can do it like that. I think this is Yuchun’s rapping style.
YC: Thank you~ (Embarrassed smile)

:P even you can't say that they shared some big jaechun stuff here you can feel the tenderness and care...lol...don't know exactly how to express it but I really enjoyed their chit-chatting....praising each other...when you are in love is hard to refuse your treasured ones wishes *winks*

P.S. Hello boys and gurls.....I'm back...guess you didn't missed the jaechun news since there are so many places to get them but anyways I'm going to update this place...lol..also hopefully I can share with you some good news soon...there are jhust a few things to sort out ^^...

[TRANS] JaeChun@“What’s In”Solo Comments( 090915)

For Jejung,

Because we are still not used to having activities as a duet so to the both of us, it feels fresh but at the same time, an atmosphere beyond thoughts.

But every time I see Jejung while we’re doing interviews or just having shoots, I will surprisingly find that Jejung has never changed~ He’s still natural like before~ (Laughs)

Although we have not gone out to play together recently, be it in Korea or Japan, but previously, we went out to play before!

Actually, I even invited Jejung to go out and drink with me yesterday. Because there were only the two of us, I asked, “Should we go?” and Jejung answered, “Let’s go!”. Just like that, we swiftly agreed. (Laughs)

When I’m making music with Jejung, I’d always use the piano to compose songs and that’s why the style of my songs are slow, romantic songs.

Jejung, on the other hand, likes to use Midi to compose his songs and that’s why the music he creates has no limits and all his songs are of a large variety in style. He’s really good!

Therefore, I really look forward to continuing composing songs that contain the differences of the both of us.

For Yuchun,

While we were having group activities as TVXQ, Yuchun would always sleep late and wake up late. However, now that it’s the both of us, Yuchun actually wakes up earlier than me!

Today, Yuchun even came and wake me up! (Laughs) I was really frightened by Yuchun, the early sleeper and early riser!!

But why did Yuchun suddenly sleep and rise early? It’s an unsolvable mystery… I really hope that when we have group activities as TVXQ, Yuchun can sleep and rise early as well. (Laughs)

This time, yet again, I have gotten a very definite thought and that is: Yuchun’s rapping is awesome. I really want to compose a few songs where I can hear Yuchun rapping.

Ah, but, there are some things that have made me slightly angry. (Laughs)

While I am composing, Yuchun would just take the score to take a look and would usually have commands like: “Take this and change it to this kind of feeling~” Then, he would disappear from the room!

This kind of Yuchun looks like that boss, and I am just a new rookie who is working additional hours. (Laughs)

*XD I especially love JJ's answer so blunt...:P...I also wonder why YooChun wakes up so early lately....maybe because they are alone and are able to do more things XD.....lol...oh well I think the manager should be there somewhere...and I have said something a few posts before about JJ being the boss...it seems I was wrong and YooChun is actually that one...or maybe the roles just change...yeah that's why I love about this couple...jaechun is the same as chunjae at least in my eyes...I know not all agree...but you see even if you read a fanfic they just keep changing place...but you don't see something like that when it comes to other couples especially the hugely popular one....lol...

* I actually wanted to post so much more for today but you know there is real life too...I'll take this opportunity here before making a more official announcement to ask if anyone is iinterested to collaborate with me on this blog...not like leaving all work on someone else but more like for all day jaechun happenings...like the airport pics...concert pics...magazines...didn't said it yet here but september will again another busy month for me...having my wedding party...also lots of exams and it would be a pity to almost stop my activity here especially with the upcomming jaechun single...so if you think you can help I'm waiting for your email(vio2leta@hotmail.com) and we can talk more about the issue...

I love how he keeps mentioning JaeJoong in his interview...about their duet and also JJ's self composed song 9095...and what made me even more joyful the talk about the after dome party...lol...speaking of JJ and their duet automatically lead to the drinknig after party...em..he did talked a lot about his (soul)mate...ok let's go to JJ's interview...

eh...well he didn't say a thing about Chun...interesting...he talked a lot about Su....oh...o_O...JaeSu?...and Min?...but he did say something about enjoying the male fans attention...oh...and when did he cried during bolero...please remind me?....

^there is a small talk here from Soulmates about their single...and yes I agree about that warm atmosphere(there is always that warm atmosphere in all Chun songs...sadder, happier...you can still feel love....passion for music)...and the smiles...they were a killer....I intend to do a soulmate fan like review for that perfomance so stay tuned...in case you want to spazz with me...also...if you read my previous posts ...I said something about karaoke...I would have loved to see a private soulmate duet session...lol...
